ABOUT

Monique Adriaansen is a contemporary fine artist based in the Netherlands. She has spent a long time abroad, influenced by different cultures and experiences.

Over the years, she took classes in drawing and painting. Upon returning to the Netherlands, she entered and recently graduated from the Wackers Academy in Amsterdam, studying various techniques in drawing and painting. Her work has been exhibited in Lausanne, Warsaw, and the Netherlands.

Monique is motivated by everyday situations, objects and people around her. In her work, she tries to find the right balance in composition, colors, and plasticity. She often uses mixed techniques which bring surprising results. Monique is available for commissioned work.
